Hours and service

Three different sets of hours

These are configured separately and are commonly confused:

HoursControls
Opening hoursWhat your public pages say you are open
Online ordering hoursWhen guests can place an online order
Menu group schedulesWhen individual parts of the menu are available

A restaurant can be open, with online ordering closed, serving a menu group that is outside its window. All three are working correctly.

The business day

Your business day boundary decides when one day's reporting ends and the next begins. For a restaurant closing at 2am, midnight is the wrong boundary — set it to something after you actually close.

Reports, batch close and end-of-day all read this boundary.

Time zone

The restaurant's time zone governs schedules, reports and the business day. It is a property of the restaurant, not of whoever is looking at the screen.

Set the time zone before you open, not after

Changing the time zone later moves historical report boundaries. Set it once, at setup, and leave it.

Order types

Which order types are available — dine-in, takeout, delivery, curbside — is set here. A type switched off does not appear on the till.
